Report (IFK Hässleholm vs Hässleholms IF):

Österås Idrottsplats was built in 1969 and the capacity today is around 6,000. The record attendance at this ground is from 1993 when 8,500 watched an Allsvenskan play-off between IFK Hässleholm and Degerfors. Since then IFK Hässleholm have been relegated three divisions and nowdays they have to fight with newly promoted Hässleholms IF in order to call themselves "Best club in town". For old IFK fans it is difficult to understand they are in the same division as their "little brother", Hässleholms IF. With the two Hässleholm clubs being 1st and 2nd in the Division 3 Sydöstra Götaland table (only two points apart) this was a match I should definately go to. In May 2 500 turned up and with the weather being nice I was hoping for 3 000. The local paper predicted 3 500 but as kick-off approach I realized that was not to be the case. 2 107 is an amazing attendance for level 5 football in Sweden but I was still a bit disappointed with the attendance. The match itself was quite good, Hässleholms IF scored in the 2nd minute and despite IFK having several really good chances they couldn´t find the net. Instead Hässleholms IF scored again to make it 0-2 with 20 minutes to go. IFK pulled a goal back but Hässleholms IF could hold on and grabbed their first victory against IFK Hässleholm for almost 30 years. As a bonus they are 5 points clear in the table and are now favourites to clinch promotion to Division 2.
