Report (Lunds BK - Limhamn/Bunkeflo):

Despite spending a number of years at Lund University in the early 90s I never visited Klostergårdens IP, the home of several local football teams. Klostergårdens IP is situated in the south of Lund, just next to the new handball arena. With two teams in the Swedish top division handball is and will always be the number one sport in Lund. Lunds BK have still produced a couple of good footballers over the years though. The most well-known is Martin Dahlin who played for Sweden in the 1994 World Cup, where he scored 4 goals. In total he scored 29 goals in 60 matches for Sweden. Lunds BK won promotion last year and are currently playing in Division 1 South. Their nearest "rivals" in this division are the two Malmö based teams (Rosengård and Limhamn/Bunkeflo) and with Lund having had a decent start to the season I was looking forward to the match against former Superettan club Limhamn/Bunkeflo as well as a visit to a ground which can be described as a natural grass bowl. The first half of the actual match was quite poor, the only clear chance was when Lund hit the post. In the second half the game opened up a bit more and with 20 minutes to go Lund scored from a free-kick and despite some good efforts the visitors were unable to equalise. In the 89th minute Lund scored after a text book counter-attack giving all three points to the home team. As you can see in the pictures below Klostergårdens IP only has a small covered main stand. The rest of the ground looks like a grass bowl and with so big natural "stands" it would be interesting to know what the capacity actually is.
