Day 2 of my trip started with a short journey to Birmingham New Street where I met up with Neil and he had been kind enough to buy a ticket for me in the away end for Southampton-Wolves, true Wolves fans travel from Sweden to Southampton on a cold Wednesday evening in November... After checking in at my hotel we visited some restaurants/pubs before heading towards the ground. I would estimate the away fans to number around 1,200. Our seats were in the top row, close to the safety zone and there were some good-hearted and friendly bantering between the two sets of fans, the police even smiled at some of the songs. Wolves lost 2-0 and the Wolves fans were very disappointed when the final whistle blew. Wolves had some good chances to equalise in the second half but when we went 2-0 down we all knew we had lost.
