Johannishus SKGround: Rydsplanen Visits: 1 Date: 18th June 2025 Match: Johannishus SK - Hasslö GoIF 4-0 (Division 5 Blekinge) Attendance: 75 The upcoming weekend is Midsommar in Sweden meaning no football Friday and Saturday. Loads of games were played midweek though and my choice was to be Johannishus v Hasslö in Division 5 Blekinge. It took me around 70 minutes to drive to Rydsplanen in Johannishus and once there I was surprised to see so many cars. There was apparently a youth game between Johannishus and Hasslö and when the men´s game started at 19 the youngsters were mascots. The ground itself has plenty of wooden benches in the east side but there is no proper stand at Rydsplanen. Johannishus has in recent years played in Division 5 and 6 and I guess there is no need for a stand. Going into the game Johannishus were bottom and Hasslö third from bottom in Division 5 Blekinge and with two clubs being relegated this was an important game in the fight to avoid relegation. It has to be said Hasslö were very poor this evening and at half-time it was 4-0 to Johannishus. Most of the youngsters had by now left but in the middle of the second half I counted 75 spectators, still a decent attendance for this level. No goals were scored in the second half and it ended 4-0 to Johannishus who moved out of the relegation zone. It was a sunny but very windy evening in Johannishus but nevertheless a nice evening out for me.
