Having completed Division 2 Västra Götaland earlier this year I am now looking at completing Division 2 Norra Götaland. Framnäs IP in Lidköping and Ulvesborg in Tidaholm are my missing grounds and the first Saturday in August it was possible for me to visit Lidköping. From my hotel in Linköping it took me around 3 hours to drive to Lidköping and parts of that journey were quite scenic. I was staying at Stadshotellet in Lidköping and after checking-in at my hotel I made a sightseeing walk of the town. Lidköping is situated on the southern shores of Vänern, Sweden's largest lake, and the creek Lidan runs through the city. During my walk I managed to sneak into Framnäs IP where I could take pictures of the empty stands. There is quite a nice main stand at Framnäs but unfortunately there are a few pillars obstructing the view. The far side is a small covered terrace but also a few benches fans can sit on.

After my walk I made it back to the hotel for a short rest before once again making my way to Framnäs IP. Lidköpings FK v Herrestads AIF was 3rd v 4th and the winner today would be within one point from leaders FBK Karlstad. Earlier in the day it was cloudy but during the first half the sun appeared and it turned out to be quite a nice afternoon at Framnäs IP. There was a warning of heavy rain showers and even thunder but thankfully that was not to be the case. Herrestad was the better team in the 1st half but it was Lidköpings FK who took the lead. 1-0 from the penalty spot and this was to be the half-time score. Early on in the second half Herrestad equalised and despite chances for both teams 1-1 was to be the final score. As I was walking back to my hotel I could reflect on the fact I am now only missing one ground in the three Division 2-leagues in Götaland (Södra/Västra/Norra). Tidaholms GoIF are bottom of the table and I have yet to decide if I will go there this season.
