Nässjö FF

Ground: Skogsvallen

Visits: 1

Date: 3rd August 2025

Match: Nässjö FF - Rimforsa IF  5-1  (Division 3 Nordöstra Götaland)

Attendance: 251

In early May of 2018 I visited Skogsvallen in Nässjö for Nässjö FF v Nosaby in Division 2. Upon arrival I realised the match had been moved to the artificial pitch, Skogsvallen Konstgräs. Since it is almost 3 h by car for me to Skogsvallen I was quite disappointed to miss out on the main ground with its characteristic main stand. When I planned my tour this weekend, I noticed that Nässjö FF would host Rimforsa in Division 3 Nordöstra Götaland 13.00 on Sunday. With Nässjö being 2 h from Lidköping, where I was staying the night, I finally got the opportunity to visit Skogsvallen properly and then drive back home afterwards. I parked my car some 45 minutes prior to kick-off and with a free entrance I could walk straight in. I took a few pictures and then found out Christian W from Munich was present as well. I met him in Tornio (Finland) two years ago and despite living in Germany he is fluent in Swedish and it was nice to meet him again. Shortly before kick-off Richard from Vetlanda showed up as well and the three of us then watched the game together.

Nässjö had two young ultras who gave their team a vocal support for most of the game. I doubt it was because of the ultras but on the pitch it was all Nässjö in the 1st half and at the break it was 2-0 to the home team. Nässjö made it 4-0 before Rimforsa pulled a goal back. In front of 251 spectators it then ended 5-1 at Skogsvallen this afternoon. Nässjö FF are mid-table and won´t be promoted or relegated. Rimforsa need a few more points to avoid a hazardous relegation play-off but will most likely avoid relegation as well. Anyway, a nice afternoon at Skogsvallen and as always great to meet fellow groundhoppers. Christian will be a further three weeks in Sweden (and Finland) btw, including games north of the Arctic Circle.
