Torna HällestadGround: Tornavallen Visits: 1 Date: 22nd August 2026 Match: Torna Hällestads IF - GIF Nike 1-0 (Division 5 Skåne Sydvästra) Attendance: 90 As I was looking at fixtures for this weekend I suddenly discovered there was a proper top of the table clash in Division 5 Skåne Sydvästra. Torna Hällestad were hosting GIF Nike and prior to today the clubs had the same number of points and Nike are top with their goal difference being one better than Torna Hällestad. Torna Hällestad is near Lund and it took 65 minutes by car for me to arrive at Tornavallen. I had not looked too closely at the weather forecast and was in shorts and a t-shirt. Thankfully I had a coat in the car as well because as I stepped out of my car it was cloudy, windy and some rain was coming down. I had a nice chat with the man by the entrance and he now knows what groundhopping is! The ground itself is quite basic. With a few benches on both sides and a grass pitch I would describe it as a standard idrottsplats for division 5 and 6. Torna Hällestad have been playing in division 6 in recent years but last season they were promoted as the best runner-up in the division 6-leagues in Skåne. Prior to kick-off I chatted with one of the assistant referees, I have met him on a few occasions in recent years and he was prepared to take on this important fixture. The first half was quite boring and 0-0 at half-time was no surprise. At least I got a hot dog and a cup of coffee to cheer me up at the break. The second half was better and in the 63rd minute Torna Hällestad scored to make it 1-0. Torna Hällestad really should have scored one more goal and in the closing stages of the game Nike had a really good chance to equalise. It ended 1-0 to Torna Hällestad and with six rounds to go they are now three points ahead of Nike at the top.
