For Saturday afternoon I had several options and in the end I decided to visit Uppåkravallen for Uppåkra v Ödåkra in Division 4 Skåne Västra. Last year I completed the 3 Division 4-leagues in Skåne (3x12 teams) but with six new teams I have some work to do in 2025. Uppåkravallen was inaugurated in 2014 and has several artificial pitches, a grass pitch and a clubhouse. The game this afternoon was actually the first time the grass pitch was in use this season. Uppåkravallen is situated in Hjärup, just outside of Lund and it took me around an hour to reach the ground.

With hardly any protection from the wind it was to be a cloudy, windy and quite cold afternoon for me. Uppåkra and Ödåkra are both newly promoted and while Ödåkra are second from bottom Uppåkra are second in the table with five wins in their opening six games. Uppåkra took the lead in the first minute and I was expecting an easy victory for them. That was not to be the case though and at half-time it was still 1-0. As I said, not much protection at Uppåkravallen but the grass hill in the south side provides a very good view of the pitch. I preferred to stand next to the clubhouse as it gave me easy access to the kiosk. I counted around 45 spectators but in the windy conditions I fully understand those who stayed away. Ödåkra had more and more possession and with 5 minutes to go they deservedly equalised. The game ended 1-1 and in my opinion Uppåkra should be pleased with getting a point today. My visit means I am now missing three grounds (Ödåkra being one) in this league and one in Division 4 Skåne Sydvästra.
