Having been slightly ill I was at first not looking at going to football on Friday evening but feeling a bit better I changed my mind. Åvallen in Vilshult is around 45 minutes by car and the nearest grounds to my home I still haven't visited. Vilshult were hosting Högadal in Division 6 Blekinge and with kick-off being as early as 17.30 I had to set off earlier than usual for a Friday game. As I arrived some 20 minutes prior to kick-off it was obvious it would not be a big crowd at Åvallen for this game. Neither team had something to play for but the weather was nice and after a week at work it was nice to relax with some football.

Högadal played in Allsvenskan in 1962 but at the moment they are bottom of the lowest division. Mjällby is the only other team from Blekinge who has played in Allsvenskan and it is fair to say their season is slightly better than Högadal's! I counted 25 spectators at Åvallen and in the 70th minute we could watch on as the dead-lock was broken, 1-0 to Högadal. Vilshult had several chances to equalize but no more goals at Åvallen.
