The last two weeks of May (and the first week of June) are the busiest of the year for me at work but the chance of doing a double in Division 3 Södra Götaland meant I left my (students) exams for a day. IK Wormo played Kulladal at 1pm and at 3pm Lödde then played against Hanaskog. I knew I would miss around 10 minutes of the game at Tolvans IP in Lödde but that is something I can live with. Wormo, who play at Exercisfältets IP, are newly promoted and have started the 2016 season really well. After five games there are in second place in the table. The club is from Landskrona and from Kristianstad that means around 80 minutes of driving. Since I was passing Löddeköpinge on my way to Landskrona I actually visited Tolvans IP before I arrived at Exercisfältets IP. Wanting to miss as few minutes as possible of the second game I wanted to know exactly where to drive and where to park at Tolvans IP. I then finally arrived at Exercisfältets IP around 12.10 and found a strategic parking spot.

Until 1926 there was a military presence in Landskrona and at the fields where Wormo now are housed used to be a part of the garrison. Exercisfältet translates to "The field of exercise". There are several pitches at Exercisfältet and the main pitch has a small stand and few benches on the east side. There is also a grass hill on this side and from the hill you have a good view of the action. In total around 150 fans turned up for this game but unfortunately those of us present could witness a very poor first half. Kulladal didn´t have many chances in the game but in the 28th minute they managed to score and it was 0-1 at half-time. Towards the end of the first half it started to rain (not forecasted!) and I went to the kiosk buying a burger but above all there was a small roof protecting me from the rain. The kiosk was far from the pitch but I didn´t want to get soaked and although the view was terrible I didn´t miss much. In the second half Wormo went on the attack and the game was now much better than in the first half. It looked like Kulladal would hold on to a undeserved three points but in the 85th minute the equalizing goal finally came and the game ended 1-1. Just about an ok game to watch but if Wormo wants to stay near the top they have to improve. After the final whistle I hurried to my car and I then arrived at Tolvans IP in the 9th minute of that game.
